Cumberland Valley Rail Road
W&W 445 is southbound from Clearbrook nearing Winchester.
RS11 3605 is parked alongside the former southern end of the CVRR siding in Clearbrook. The work train will soon remove the siding here up to and across Rt.11 in the distance. The northern end of the siding still remains today.
W&W heading north at Clearbrook about to cross Rt 11 on January 15, 2019 at 1:33 pm. The same train pictured first at Zuckerman's had stopped at 84 Lumber and picked up the high-cube Rail Box boxcar.
#87 is crossing Rt 11 during a "Artic Polar Vortex". I have hid behind the crossing relay box to block the high wind gusts as I waited for the train to approach on January 30, 2019 at 1:04 pm.
The same train is on the switch to the Freyco Quarry at Clear Brook. This switch is at the crossing of Woodside Road just north of Clearbrook, VA.
WW #87 is at Milepost 108, 108 miles from Harrisburg, Pa on the CVRR. The train is about to cross Branson Spring Road on a very cold day of 13 degrees, January 30, 2019 at 1:10 PM.
After a small struggle, slowed train then blue diesel smoke the train is slowly crossing Branson Spring Road as is is approx 2 miles north of Clearbrook. There must be wet rails or a slight grade between Woodside Road and Branson Spring Road to slow the train that much. (January 15, 2019 at 1:34 pm)
