A WM call box is just west of the WM bridge over the CVRR. (12-3-04)
The WM crosses the Cumberland Valley RR here on this bridge. The CVRR is now owned by Norfolk Southern and CSX thru trains now use this line and bypass the WM. (12-3-04)
NS train 16T heads east on the former CVRR, PRR, Conrail route thru Chambersburg, PA
at 1442 pm on February3, 2019.
At the east side of the bridge is an old WM Detector signal. The mast of this signal with the "D" nameplate has been turned to the side. (12-3-04)
Further east of the bridge the WM crosses Rt. 11 before curving north into town to run along at street level. (12-3-04)
The former crossing at Rt 11 into Chambersburg has been cut back to Rt11 at Hafers. A rail trail now runs east from Rt 11 to Heinz, Pa. (January 26, 2019)
