December 30, 2018 at 2:59 pm CSx Q016 is about to pass the H8 milepost at Barr Road. .

The eastbound signal for the Waynecastle Interlocking. The relay for the interlocking is down the bank from the switch and signals. (12-3-04)

The interlocking at Waynecastle, named Waynesboro WEDT in the CSX timetable. The phrase "WEDT" means; "west end of double track". An old WM interlocking shack is still standing but the signals are now dark. Old WM "pressured air" equipment is still in the ground here. The air was used to control the switch at the interlocking, a switch heater remains here as well. (2004)

In June 1998, a CSX coal train enters the single track at Waynecastle Interlocking. In 1998, the signals are still in use but the southbound track was out of service. The H9 milepost is just ahead of the train.

Some photos I took while at Waynecastle Interlocking in 2004.
