A northbound Norfolk Southern train led by a Southern SD40-2 3253 is about to cross the former Southern B-Line at the diamond at Riverton Jct. in 1989. The B-Line ran from Manassas, VA. to Harrisonburg, Va. but is now intact but "out of service" and "rail-banked" between Strasburg Jct. and Harrisonburg. SD40-2 3253 was later sold by NS to CP. (Warren Jenkins photo) Next I've caught a NS train "95" coming across the diamond, eastbound on the Southern B-Line in June 1999.

NS trains "211" led by Conrail locomotives are coming off the the former N&W, Roanoke-Hagerstown main onto the Southern Railway's B-Line to Manassas, VA. the track layout and signaling has changed from these images in 2013. (first photo Nov. 1995)

N&W Class J 4-8-4 No. 611 has just turned on the wye at Riverton Jct. and now begins its return trip back to Manassas, VA. (2015)
