Looking east and west on 12-29-13 at Magic Mountain Road.
GP9 No.709 leads RS11 No.863 west crossing McFarland Road.
The crossing and brush has changed dramatically in these east/west photos at McFarland Road on 12-29-13.
This short bridge crosses Gap Run just around the curve west of McFarland Road. This is the second bridge of two west of McFarland Road. Debris is still up in the bridge from a recent flood, W&W crews had already cleared the big stuff from the bridge. (May 16, 2014)
An old rusted out, recently flooded Buick sits along the track with a bunch of other junk at an abandoned house right on the tracks. (May 16, 2014)
Piles of junk and trash have washed down alongside the tracks from the abandoned house around the bend. The items have collected here and the flood waters have eroded and washed away the ballast at the junk pile. Looking east and west about noon after the flood that early morning during darkness. (May 16, 2014)
The last W&W bridge over Gap Run is thisonce right beside Rt.50. I have again taken these two photos looking east and west after the flood water had gone down. A small was out of ballast at the bridge is all that had occurred other than more of that junk piled up. (May 16, 2014)
W&W No.403 is crossing the the dual lane Rt.50 bound for Gore.
W&W 572 leads a short consist westbound crossing Route 50 near Houge Creek. (1-25-14)
